my mom and I were talking in the car and she said that the reason dean is always shoving free food in his face at buffets and stuff is because he learned growing up that when there’s food in front of you you eat it cause you dont know when you’ll get another chance

And that is the whole show. Dean and Sam are very good at what they do. They don’t need to be near each other all the time to survive because they are good fighters, they could do it alone. They don’t want to. The need to have each other, to know the other one is ok runs deeper than anything else in these boys. It’s beyond family, beyond blood, beyond god and the angels and the demons and devils. They need each other with everything they have to give. They would rather die together than live without the other.
